About Me
Hamilton Born, Toronto Raised*
*frequent childhood trips to Northern SaskatchewanHi there, I’m Elijah! I’m new to the industry, but I’m not new to advertising.
Advertising has been baked into my life from the beginning, like all of us. It’s affected the clothes I wear, the books I read, the food I eat; everything I buy. Every choice we make in our day to day lives is communicated to us by advertising, and all those ads began with an idea.
I love ideas. I love communication. I studied English Literature at TMU, so I could figure out how George Orwell and Thomas King communicate their ideas so beautifully. I play music because Neil Young & The Band communicated their ideas so clearly to me through their music, and I wanted a crack at it, too. So, I applied to Humber Ad-Graf.
I want to come up with big ideas for your clients. I want to figure out the best way to communicate ideas for your clients. I want to think up the big picture, and execute the small details. I want to make sure make sure every word, colour, image and sound works perfectly together. I want to deliver ads that grab peoples attention, and don’t leave their minds for weeks.
I want to be part of a team that makes great work.

Skills & Attributes
I’m skilled & quick in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop. Some experience in Premiere Pro, and can mix & record sound in Ableton very well. I have experience in photography (both film & digital), and play guitar, bass & drums, should we need to start a band.
I think the best enviroment to learn and create is in a team - I’m a clear communicator, calm, and I work very well with others. I’m a big fan of talking!
Being on time is important to me. I’m very organized, and very focused. Working in a kitchen for 5 years taught me the importance of each second and how to capitalize on the time you have.
Above all, I am constantly looking to better myself, learn and improve. I will dedicate myself totally to learning anything you should have to teach me. I’m not afraid to ask questions, or to speak up.
